I Just learned of your passing. Sam, you were one of our favorite patients here at Dr. Blesius office, always made it a point to say hello to my "kiddos" before you left our office..You were incredibly intelligent and had many interesting stories to tell, and lets not forget your funny jokes to make us laugh at the end of a long day..  You will be missed..

I will miss seeing him at seminar.  He was a sweet, insightful man.

My heartfelt condolences.  At the UTEP Geological graduate seminars, Sam was an inspiration for us all to use our inquisitive nature and keep learning...you will be missed.

Sam had an enduring love of geology and was always anxious to help anyone who sought him out. I personally benefitted greatly from his knowledge of the geology of southwestern North America. He was a gentleman who never lost his love of learning.

Sam was always at the UTEP Geology colloquia and seminars, always warm and friendly, and always taking notes and asking questions. He truly had a lifelong love for learning and the Earth. He will be missed!

We'll miss you, Sam.  Miss chatting with you at seminar.  Now you will be able to keep track of our careers no matter where we go.

My condolences.  He was a magnificent man who always had insightful views on geology, and warm personality that accompanied that wisdom.  Godspeed Sam.

I got to know Sam through the UTEP Department of Geological Sciences. We would usually discuss the geology of SW New Mexico, which he had mapped many years ago. He was usually in attendance of the Graduate Seminars and Student Colloquiums, taking copious notes, and questioning the speakers. I will miss Sam.

Although I never knew him personally, Sam was a fixture around the UTEP Geology Dept...he will truly be missed.
