Santos Roman, 93, passed away Saturday December 20, 2014. He was a resident of Smeltertown and was retired from Southwestern Portland Cement. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart for his military service in the U.S Army during WWII in the Asia Pacific War. Mr. Roman is preceded in death by his wife Rafaela and sons Enrique and Samuel. He is survived by his 4 sons; Tony "Mickey" & wife Mona, Santos Jr. "Jimmy" & wife Patti, Javier & wife Susie, Rafael & wife Lupe, 21 Grandchildren, 23 Great-Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 9:00 pm with Rosary at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 9:45 am at San Francisco Xavier Catholic Church followed by burial with Military Honors at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 11:00 am.
