With deep love and gratitude for a century of memories, we announce the passing of SOFIA BERMEA who peacefully fell asleep in death at the age of 100.

Born on April 30th, 1925 in Durango, Mexico. She lived a life defined by unwavering faith, kindness, and a heart big enough to embrace everyone she met. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, her faith was the guiding light of her life. She found great joy in sharing Bible-based hope with others and in the promise of a peaceful future described in Scripture.

To know her was to experience warmth, patience, and unconditional love. She had a rare gift for making people feel seen, valued, and forgiven. Family and friends alike describe her as gentle in spirit, strong in faith, and endlessly compassionate. Her home was always open, her advice always thoughtful, and her hugs unforgettable.

She was the beloved mother of six children, 6 grand-children, 5 greatgrandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was a dear friend to countless others whose lives she touched through her encouraging words and quiet acts of kindness.

Her life reflected the scripture at Colossians 3:14: “Clothe yourselves with love, for it is a perfect bond of unity.” Love truly was her defining quality.

A memorial service will be held at Martin Funeral East on George Dieter Blvd with viewing service, prayers and memories from 8:00 TO 11:00 AM on Wednesday, FEBRUARY 11, 2026. There will be a loving tribute from 9:30 to 10:00. The burial service will take place beginning at 11:30 AM at Evergreen East Cemetery. All who knew her are warmly invited to attend and share in remembering a life that so beautifully reflected faith, love, and forgiveness.

The family takes comfort in the Bible’s promise of the resurrection and looks forward to the time when they will welcome her again in a world free from pain and sorrow.

She was an angel of a person, and her love will remain in our hearts always.

OBITUARIO DE SOFÍA BERMEA

Con profundo amor y gratitud por un siglo de recuerdos, anunciamos el fallecimiento de SOFÍA BERMEA, quien se durmió pacíficamente en la muerte a la edad de 100 años.

Nació el 30 de abril de 1925 en Durango, México. Vivió una vida definida por una fe inquebrantable, bondad y un corazón lo suficientemente grande para abrazar a todas las personas que conoció. Como una de los Testigos de Jehová, su fe fue la luz que guió su vida. Encontró gran alegría en compartir con otros la esperanza basada en la Biblia y en la promesa de un futuro pacífico descrito en las Escrituras.

Conocerla era experimentar calidez, paciencia y amor incondicional. Tenía un don poco común para hacer que las personas se sintieran vistas, valoradas y perdonadas. Familiares y amigos la describen como una persona de espíritu amable, fuerte en la fe y llena de compasión. Su hogar siempre estaba abierto, sus consejos siempre eran sabios y sus abrazos inolvidables.

Fue la querida madre de seis hijos, abuela de seis nietos, cinco bisnietos y un tataranieto. También fue una querida amiga de innumerables personas cuyas vidas tocó con sus palabras de aliento y actos silenciosos de bondad.

Su vida reflejó las palabras de Colosenses 3:14:

“Vístanse de amor, porque es el vínculo perfecto de la unidad.”

El amor fue verdaderamente la cualidad que la definió.

El servicio conmemorativo se llevará a cabo en Martin Funeral East, en George Dieter Blvd., con velación, oraciones y recuerdos de 8:00 a 11:00 a.m. el miércoles 11 de FEBRERO de 2026. Se dara una platica de las 9:30 a las 10:00. El servicio de sepelio comenzará a las 11:30 a.m. en el cementerio Evergreen East. Todos quienes la conocieron están cordialmente invitados a asistir y compartir el recuerdo de una vida que reflejó tan hermosamente la fe, el amor y el perdón.

La familia encuentra consuelo en la promesa bíblica de la resurrección y espera con anhelo el momento en que podrán recibirla nuevamente en un mundo libre de dolor y sufrimiento.

Fue una persona angelical, y su amor permanecerá siempre en nuestros corazones.
