Steve was a kind and generous person, and he went to the Lord having lived a full life with no regrets, knowing he was loved by family and friends.
After serving in the U.S. Air Force for eight years, he relocated to El Paso. He loved the mountains, the desert climate, the people, and specially the spicy Mexican food.
While working at Helen of Troy as a computer analyst he met the love of his life, Ann Carreon Wood – and they traveled extensively to many places during their 20 years of marriage. They traveled to Colombia, Tahiti, Bora Bora, the Bahamas, Cancun, Hawaii, Macau China, Spain, and all over the Unites States.
Steve joined the band “The Bad Apple Band” in 2015 with Mario Mora, Michael Mora, Nicholas Mora, Paul Levy and Liz Sanchez. He greatly enjoyed playing in the band and they all became family. He will be greatly missed by them all, including Blanca Mora, wife of Mario.
Steve was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann Rogers, his parents Freddie and Joyce Rogers, grandparents Charles and Johnnie M. Rogers, Marian Camp, Wallace LeBurg and his mother-in-law, Elena Carreon.
Steve will be missed by family; sister Karen rogers, his brother Richard Rogers, his nieces Ashley Barlow, Katie Lawson, Jessica Branchizio, Shelly Clark, Ashlee Crouse, Tara Stewart; his nephews Brad Lewis, Jared Howard, and Ryan Rogers. He will also be missed by his 17 great-nieces, 6 great-nephews, and 3 great-great nieces.
Additionally, he will be missed by his sisters-in-law Helen Alice Armendariz (Ruben), and Christine Guzman, his brother-in-law Luis Carreon, nieces Yvonne, Valarie, and Monique Carreon, his nephew Officer Paul Armendariz, and cousins Delfina Fernandez, Luis Fernandez and Susie Castanuela.
