

Victoria was born on December 13, 1941, in El Paso, Texas, where she was raised alongside her parents and siblings. She later graduated from Jefferson High School in El Paso, an accomplishment she was proud of throughout her life.
A woman of deep faith, Victoria was a devoted Catholic whose life was guided by prayer, service, and love. Particularly a special connection with Our Lady of Guadalupe, She had a mural painted on the front of her house which was a reflection of her devotion as well as every year on the Birthday of Our Lady of Guadalupe she would host a party in celebration of her where matachines would join in the celebration aswell. Her faith and love were contagious spreading joy to those whose paths she crossed which was evident in the way she lived and in the warmth she extended to everyone she met.
Victoria was affectionately known as Ormigita, a nickname that reflected her constant movement and dedication to caring for her home and family. She loved cooking, music, dancing, crafting, collecting cherished items, and spending time with those she loved. She was known for her joyful spirit, sense of humor, and welcoming nature, always ready with a smile or kind word.
Above all, Victoria loved her family. She was a devoted wife to the love of her life, a proud mother, a cherished grandmother, and a loving great grandmother. She taught her family the importance of kindness, laughter, faith, integrity and strength, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue for generations.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and her beloved husband.
Victoria is survived by her children Alfonso Huerta Jr., Albert Huerta, and Elsa Huerta, as well as her grandchildren Daniel Huerta, Haley Huerta, Gabrielle Huerta, Alex Huerta, Angel Woods, Anayansi Huerta, and Danielle Romero, and her great grandchildren Kaleab Licon and Weston Cole Woods. She is also survived by extended family and friends who will deeply miss her.
Public visitation will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home on North Carolina Drive on December 16th, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary in between from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. On December 17th, 2025 Mass will take place at 7:45 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will take place at Fort Bliss at 9:00 a.m. A potluck for the reception will follow the burial at 10:30 a.m, and will take place at VFW on 2400 Davis-Seamon Rd, El Paso, TX 79930.
Victoria will be remembered for her kindness, joy, faith and laughter. She was a light in the lives of all who knew her and her memory will live on forever.
