My deepest sympathies to his family. He made the last 10 years fun at work. We had so many good times. He was so funny and witty, always trying to make us laugh, or roll our eyes, not sure which. He loved his family so much. I can still hear his youngest's son's voice on the recorded answering machine because Dr. Singh called home every few minutes, it seemed. Being that our offices were right next to each other we would have many conversations by talking loudly from our seats. Sometimes, in a serious voice, he'd call me over, ask me to shut his door, and to come to his computer...only to show me the car he wanted. haha I'll miss the rides taking him home after work sometimes, or driving him to UHS because it was raining, hearing him give me points on how to get everywhere faster(insert eye roll). I could write too much more, but let me leave with you the vision of his daily routine..smiles, walking fast between hospital and office, showing us his deal of a shirt, his new car, offering us veggies, and telling us how many plants he planted over the weekend, or how he beat his friend at tennis the day before. But mostly, how much love he had for his wife and boys, which he spoke of everyday. Goodbye Dr Singh, we miss you everyday. Peace be with you.

My deepest condolences to Dr. Singh's family. He was a great teacher, psychiatrist and human being. I had the honor of having him as an attending at UTHSCSA many years ago, and his voice still sounds inside my head when I'm interviewing patients and trying to figure out how to best help them. Dr. Singh's passion for paychiatry and teaching were inspirational and motivational for me and many others who crossed his path. May his soul rest in peace.

What tragic news. Dr. Singh was a beautiful  soul - a light that seemed to shine from inside him. I remember his huge smile.  The excitement in teaching something new about a case. I am glad I came to hear your talk at the u.s. psych congress in Las Vegas a few years back -it was wonderful to hear you speak again and to visit, if only briefly. I am saddened by your loss. Vivek was a true gentleman, a great teacher, and a brilliant Psychiatrist. His passion and energy was infectious and his love/dedication to his family was exemplary. Feels like I have lost one of my brothers.... My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and two young sons..

My heart and thoughts are with Vivek' s young sons and wife. I can't even imagine the pain they are suffering.

I remember going into Vivek' s office in San Antonio and always seeing pictures drawn by his sons as well as brief notes of love to their daddy

Vivek was one of the finest residents, if not the very best,  I ever had the privilege of teaching at the Cleveland Clinic. Truth be told he taught me. Above and beyond his immense talents as a physician, he was a passionate and decent man who loved his family deeply and always had kind words for those around him. He was one of a kind.

Vivek and I were both co residents at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. I am deeply saddened by his sudden departure from this earth.  Although it has been 16 years since we last saw each other, I remember him for his kindness and "energized passion" for whatever he put his heart and mind into. My condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues...

I worked with Dr. Singh in the Mental Health Clinic at Frank Tejeda VAOPC when he staffed a clinic there.  I found him to be an intelligent, kind, gracious and caring doctor.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and I enjoyed working with him. I know so many feel his loss as I do.  My deepest sympathies to his wife and his 2 children.  May he rest in peace.
