Waltraud Charlotte Lopez

Waltraud Charlotte Lopez passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026 at the age of 92. She was a resident of El Paso, Texas since 1956. Born in Potsdam (Berlin), Germany on December 21, 1933.

She was well known in El Paso as a designer seamstress. Her talent was visible in every perfect stitch and meticulously placed button. While her clients sought her out for her expert eye and professional touch, her children wore her first creations that blossomed into a successful business.

She is survived by her children, Ramona Hayashi, Darlene De Santos, Selina H. Lopez (Gloria Corona), Veronica Del Pino (Mike), and son-in-law Gabriel De Santos; grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, & Julian De Santos, Victoria Martinez (Alex), Jessica Del Pino-Rios, Michael & Laci Del Pino;great grandchildren, Katherine & Ava Rios, Benjamin & Theodore Del Pino, and Andrew Martinez.

Visitation will be Monday, March 9, 2026 from 11am to 1pm with a funeral service at 12pm at Crestview Funeral Home, 1462 North Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79936. Rite of Committal will follow at 1:30pm at Evergreen East Cemetery, 12400 East Montana, El Paso, Texas 79938, on March 9, 2026.
