Yoshimi (Yoshi) Nihei Hendrickson passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the age of 90. Yoshi was born in Sendai, Japan on February 28, 1929, married her husband Robert (Bob) and lived the Army Life, residing in Japan, New York, France, Germany, Georgia, New Mexico, Washington State, and Texas, where she always made a special place at each assignment for her four children, Joyce, Marge, Susan and Jimmy. A master at the now "lost arts" of sewing, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and gardening, she was able to make our house or apartment a real home. Afterwards, she was employed at Farrah and Boeing International.
Yoshi was preceded in death by two of her children, Marge and Jimmy, and her husband Bob. She is survived by two daughters, Joyce McCabe and Susan Tremont.
Sincere thanks and appreciation to the Memory Care Unit at Good Samaritan, who gave her the best care possible and was treated like family. Also, thanks to the staff at Helping Hand Adult Daycare, where she often said was the "highlight of her day". She will be missed.
