Zulema Garcia Sanchez

Zulema G. Sanchez born on February 10, 1931, entered into eternal rest on May 21, 2023, at the age of 92.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Ortega Garcia and Maria de Refugio Garcia and siblings, Horacio Garcia and Diomira Flores. Zulema is survived by her loving husband, Pedro A. Sanchez and sister, Elva G. Montoya. She is also survived by her children, Espi Gibbs (Tim), Annie Duchene (Steve) and Frank Sanchez. She has 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.

Zulema retired from AT&T after many years of service. She lived a life devoted to God and all her family. She was also a loyal supporter of the Bowie Bears and a member of the Bowie Alumni Association. Zue was a very generous person, who enjoyed helping various charities and the less fortunate.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home , 1060 N. Carolina Dr.

Funeral Mass will begin at 9:00 am on Friday, June 2, 2023 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. 3729 Hueco Ave.

Graveside Service will occur Friday, June 2, 2023 at 10:30 am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave.
