Cathy was born in Greenfield, Ohio, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family above all else. She loved her family fiercely and made sure they knew it—often with laughter, a quick remark, or a perfectly timed look. Cathy had a sharp wit, a great sense of humor, and was well known for telling it like it is. She enjoyed life and had a gift for making those around her laugh, whether they were ready for it or not.
She found happiness in fishing, camping, and tending to her garden, appreciating the simple pleasures that brought her peace. Cathy also had a lifelong love of oldies music, especially Elvis, whose songs often filled her home and brought a smile to her face as she sang along or reminisced about good times.
She is survived by her husband, Charles T. Eaton; her children, Christina Harrington and spouse Dan Harrington, and Charles H. Eaton and spouse Bradley Carlton Shoffner Eaton; her grandchildren, Jordan Trujillo and husband Dylan Maxwell, Troy Eaton and spouse Caitlin Svodoba, Ryan Harris, and Kaitlynn Gray and husband Bryce Gray; and seven great-grandchildren.
Cathy will be remembered for her big heart, her quick wit, her honesty, her laughter, and her deep devotion to her family. Her joy for life lives on in the many memories and smiles she leaves behind.
She will be laid to rest at the Grayson, Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East.
