

He was born on December 23, 1976 to Glenda Dale and Theodore Burman.
He was preceded in death by his sister Misty Burman.
Daniel was a loving husband to Carrie Burman, whom he married in 2021.
He is survived by his four children: Austin Burman, Aspen Burman (Sierra DeMers), Ivory Bruntz (Josh Bruntz), and Hunter Burman; his foster daughter Corrisa Lunsford; three grand-children: Arianna Benningfield, Artemis-Edward DeLawrence, and Desmond Bruntz; and his siblings Charlene Burman and Paul Burman. Not to mention countless other friends, family, and neighbors.
Daniel never knew a stranger. Daniel was a dedicated father who always put his family first. He loved nothing more than spending time with his kids. He had a special love for animals, especially his beloved pets Una, Azreal, and Atticus.
Daniel had a love for history and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. He had a passion for Native American artifacts and spent countless hours collecting and studying them. He loved being in nature; from the mountains of his native Colorado, to the creek beds of Kentucky. He was known for his generous nature; whether lending a hand or grilling a meal, Daniel made sure everyone was cared for.
Daniel was a graduate of Platte Valley High School and will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The funeral is at 11 AM on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
Burial follows in Etown City Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 9 AM Saturday and continues until the time of service at the funeral home.
