Frances Wilmoth Poteet

She was a native of Hardin County and a member of Memorial United Methodist Church.

She was a 1942 graduate of Glendale High School, attended Western Kentucky State Normal School, now Western Kentucky University and taught one year at the Richardson School near Howevalley. During the 1970's and 1980's she was very active in the Hardin County Homemakers of which she was president in 1976.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Poteet; her parents, Evan Wilmoth and Donnie Hicks Wilmoth; and four brothers, Richard, George, Leslie and Clarence.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Eileen Wilmoth of Elizabethtown and many nephews and nieces including Frances Sandiford of Virginia and Catherine Basham of Cecilia; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

The funeral is at noon Friday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Burial follows in Hardin Memorial Park.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.
