Mary Angus Martin

Mary was one of the founding members of Saint John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach, FL. Along with attending, she was also the church’s secretary for 17 years. After retiring at the age of 93 in 2020, she moved to Elizabethtown, KY and became a member of Saint James Catholic Church for the past 5 years. She loved to bake, do puzzles on her iPad, and watch Hallmark TV. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Jean Gallagher; beloved husband of 69 years, Paul “Gerry” Martin; and sisters, Marion Halbohn and Jean Mason.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, William Martin (Joyce), Paul A. Martin, Mary Homrich (Roger), Lawrence Martin, Michael Martin (Trish), Brian Martin (Vera), Eugene Martin (Debbie) Freddy Rivas (Lisa), Catherine Masters (Scott), Teresa Tidwell (Jeff); 37 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 10am to 11am at Saint James Catholic Church, 307 West Dixie Ave, Elizabethtown, KY with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11am.
