A 1961 graduate of Elizabethtown High School, she earned degrees from Murray State University and Southern University (LA). She retired after 39 years teaching in Louisiana, Tennessee, Fort Knox, and Meade County, KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Frank Alan Jones; daughter, Heather Jones-Glass; son-in-law, Greg Glass; parents, Red and Frances Gregory; brother, Hugh Gregory; sister-in-law, Linda Gregory Burke; sisters, Betty Coats and Jane Burnette; and brother-in-law, Duke Burnette.
Survivors include her son, Bill Jones (Jaimi); a grandson, Cooper; and sisters, Frances and Janet Gregory.
The memorial service is at 12 PM Noon on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
Visitation begins at 9 AM and continues until the time of service at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff at a later date.
