

Patricia Lee Crain Mueller, age 84, of Glendale, Kentucky, peacefully entered into eternal rest with her Heavenly Father on Sunday morning, April 12, 2026, at Willow Creek Senior Living in Elizabethtown.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, James Mueller; her daughters, Rita Walker of Glendale and Ruth (Bob) Getler of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Bradley (Candace) Walker, Lauren (Chris) Walker-Millard, Ryan Getler, Noah Getler, and Kyle Getler; and three great-grandchildren, Todd Walker, Kylee Walker, and Brody Walker. She is also survived by her brother, Norman (Gail) Crain of Sonora; her sisters, Anna (Don) Sedoris of Louisville and Linda (Ronnie) Priddy of Upton; her sisters-in-law, Mary Hogg of Lebanon, Illinois and Sally Mueller of O’Fallon, Illinois; four brothers-in-law, Lawrence Mueller of Fairview Heights, Illinois, Richard (Helen) Mueller of Gallatin, Tennessee, Phillip (Linda) Mueller of Trenton, Illinois, and Thomas (Karen) Mueller of New Baden, Illinois; along with numerous cherished nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Fed Lee Crain Jr. and Mildred Lucille Taylor Crain; her sisters, Nancy and Faye; her brothers-in-law, Alfred Mueller, Francis “Tony” Mueller, Martin Mueller, Benjamin Mueller, Vincent Hogg, Ralph Mueller, Benedict Mueller, and Jerry Mueller; and her sisters-in-law, Aline Mueller, Rosie Mueller, Mary Ann Mueller, Rosalie Mueller, Pearl Mueller, Johanna Mueller, Joanne Mueller, and Thelma Mueller.
Pat and Jim met in 1960 at Dixie Roller Rink in Radcliff while Jim was stationed at Fort Knox with the U.S. Army and Pat was a senior at Glendale High School. They were united in marriage on October 5, 1963, at St. James Catholic Church in Elizabethtown. The couple lived in Owensboro for the first five years of their marriage before making Glendale their lifelong home in February 1969.
The eldest of six children, “Patricia Lee” was raised on a farm in Glendale. After graduating from Glendale High School, she was accepted into the Louisville General Hospital School of Nursing, where ”P. Crain” completed the three-year diploma program, graduating on August 2, 1963. Demonstrating remarkable dedication to her profession, she later earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bellarmine College in Louisville on May 8, 1993, at the age of 50, while working full-time and attending classes for five years.
Patricia served as a Registered Nurse for 38 years and 10 months. She began her career on the medical floor at Owensboro Daviess County Hospital, where she worked for five years and four months. She later joined Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, dedicating 23 years and six months to the Emergency Department and an additional 10 years in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. She retired from nursing on August 7, 2002, but maintained her Registered Nurse license for many years, using her skills with scouting at Camp Crooked Creek and Lincoln Trail District Day Camp.
She was an active member of the Glendale Extension Homemakers Club, the Hardin County Extension Homemakers Association, and the St. James Forever Young Club. Patricia found great joy in spending time with her family and traveling.
“Tricia” to Jim, “Mom” to Rita, Ruth and many of their friends, “Grandma” to her beloved Grandkids, “Grandma Pat” to her sweet Greats, “Aunt Patricia” to her sibling’s 8 kids, “Aunt Pat” to her 57 Illinois nieces and nephews, and “Mrs. Pat” to all the scouts that came through summer camps, will be remembered for her compassion, dedication, and unwavering love for her family and community.
Visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the Nurse Honor Guard service at 6:30 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Elizabethtown on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by the Committal Service at Glendale Christian Church Cemetery.
A meal and fellowship will follow at St. James Bacheldor Hall.
