He was a native of Hardin County and was a custodian at Central Hardin High School. He loved to garden, an avid UK fan and spent a lot of time hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Marie Blackstone and a sister, Sonya Hoke.
Survivors include his wife, Alisa Blackstone; one son, Ethan (Daylia) Ferguson; three grandchildren, Keylie, Jasek and Alec; three brothers, Gregory Blackstone, Larry Blackstone and Stanley Blackstone; one sister, Carol Blackstone and his best friend, David Winchester.
