
With deep love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Shirley Ann Terrell Frames who entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the age of 93.
Born on January 18, 1933 in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, Shirley was a woman of endless strength and devotion to her family. Throughout her long life, she witnessed tremendous change in the world yet remained a steady source of grace and love to all who knew her.
She was the heart of her family — a loving mom grandma, great-grandma, and friend. Her home was always a place of warmth, good meals, gentle advice, and unconditional love. She taught us by the values of kindness, perseverance, and humility.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, James C Frames; her father, Everett Terrell of Washington County, Ky; her mother, Stella Pearl Drury of Anderson County, Ky; and two sisters, Elizabeth and Juanita Terrell.
Her family moved to Louisville in the 1940s where she met and was married to her husband James C. Frames in 1950. They had four children together.
They moved to Okolona, Ky in 1966 and then to Howe Valley, Ky in 1973 where she spent many happy days as a wife, a mom, grandma, great- grandma and homemaker on their family farm in Hardin County, Ky.
She is survived by her children, Ron Frames (Deb) of Louisville, Vickie Ledford (Steve) of Clarkson, Ky, Glenn Frames (Natalie) of Nancy, Ky and Kim Thomas (JT) of Elizabethtown, Ky; 10 grandchildren, Ronnie Frames, Stephanie Gregory, Deanna Wetter, Eric Gregory, Laura Prestigiacomo, Jessica Frames, Jay Frames, Kylie Fox, Jennifer Frames, and Nathaniel Peacock ; and 7 great-grandchildren, Aaron Terrell, Bentley Frames, Amelia Frames, Kaitlynn Gregory, Karsyn Gregory, Carly Majors, and Cameron Majors; and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort knowing she is at peace. Her legacy of love will live on in each of us.
The funeral is at 2 PM on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation begins at 10 AM on Tuesday and continues until the time of the service at the funeral home.
