He was a native of Harriman, TN and retired from the U.S. Army after serving three combat tours, two in Iraq and one tour in Afghanistan and received two Bronze Stars, one with Valor. He proudly served his Country for 26 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Avery Lee Newby.
He is survived by his wife, Mi Yang Newby; two daughters, Alinda Newby and Samantha Newby and his mother, Peggy Bandy.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continue after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
