didn"t know he passed until sunday 24 of may.he will be missed my deepest sympathy to fred & wife.he was my uncle.I'll miss him stopping by.                    sandy.

We've lived across the street from Mr. Albert for 14 years, before our youngest was even born.  He watched my kids grow up, watched over our house and family.  He would sit and have a beer with us (we always kept Budweiser in the fridge for him) and talk and played checkers with our boys.  We already miss him so much. A life well lived, we love you Mr. Albert!

 My deepest sympathy expressed to the family on the loss of your loved one may you find comfort.

We at  the VFW called him Al.  He was a great guy with a great history.  He told me about the airstrip that he built in the Pacific and I was able to find some old and current photos of the  field and the American  compound that he lived in.  It was great watching his reaction when I gave him the packet of printouts that I had found.  He was a regular at all of the Memorial Day and Veterans Day events and  was always willing to share his opinion on many topics.  We have lost one more shining example of The Greatest Generation.

Gus was my uncle and a second father to me.  I have many great memories of him and will sorely miss him.
