Allen was born in the Bronx, N.Y. and has lived in Mount Airy, MD for the past 15 years. He worked in marketing in the spirits industry for twenty years and then opened his own CBD company, which he and his wife Kim ran for the past three years.
Allen is survived by his loving wife Kim and his two beautiful children, Jake William and Jeri Gabriella, as well as his sister Deborah and brother-in law Brad, his brother Anthony and sister-in -law Beth, his twin sister Judy and brother-in-law Steven and his sister-in-law, Barbara. He is also survived by his 5 nieces and nephews: Anthony and his wife Sim, Joey, Taylor, Shannen, and Natalie.
He is pre-deceased by his father Anthony, his mother Geraldine, and his brother Joseph.
Allen was a loving husband and father who enjoyed being with his family more than anything in the world. He was a diehard NY Jets and Yankees fan and always looked forward to watching the games on Sundays with his son Jake and brother Anthony. He loved coaching Jake’s baseball team and his daughter Jeri was the apple of his eye. He was so very proud of both his children.
Allen loved travel, fitness, concerts, playing basketball, golf, and the Jersey shore. He and Kim were absolute foodies and loved sharing meals with family and friends. In fact, nothing brought him more joy than being with his wife, children, family and friends. He loved a good bourbon, and the chance to get back to Jersey for the “Tastee" subs and Jersey pizza.
Allen was even-tempered, the voice of reason and always had a smile. He was the problem solver in his extended family, and had the backs of all of those he loved. His kindness, compassion and generosity were the core of his personality and appreciated by so many. Allen would do ANYTHING for his family. If you were part of his circle, his loyalty was unmatched.
Allen valiantly fought his battle with Glioblastoma and passed peacefully surrounded by his family. In keeping with the spirit of his generosity, we asked that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to: Glioblastoma Research Organization (gbmresearch.org) in his name.
