Brenda Lee Hager

Brenda Lee Hager, age 87, lifetime resident of Howard County, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. Brenda was the Devoted Wife of the late Lowell "Tom" Hager for more than 20 years. She is survived by her Loving Son, Raymond Crowder and his wife Tracy; Beloved Grandchildren, Taylor, Tanner, and Jake Crowder, and Great-Grandson Dayton Ward.

Brenda was known for her generous spirit and deep love of people. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to caring for others—working as a home caregiver, a certified nurse’s aide, and an arts and crafts teacher. Her warmth and patience also touched the lives of many children, from her early days working at a daycare in Fort Meade in the 1970s to her many years of devoted service at Lorien.

Social by nature and always ready to lend a hand, Brenda gave selflessly to her community. She made countless donations to causes close to her heart, including the Special Olympics and the Boys & Girls Clubs.

Brenda found joy in simple pleasures—camping and traveling with family, riding on the back of a Harley, playing bingo, and trying her luck at the slots. Fiercely independent and endlessly giving, she will be remembered for her strong will, kind heart, and unwavering dedication to those around her.

A visitation for Brenda will be held Friday, August 1, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at MMP, Inc., 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075. A Graveside Service and Interment will immediately follow, Meadowridge Memorial Park.
