On March 4, 2021, Catherine “Kay” Hundertmark passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family at the age of 98. Kay was the youngest of 9 children to her beloved parents, the late Pasquale and Maria Sassano and the cherished wife of the late John A. Hundertmark; Loving mother of Joan French (Charles), Marie Hundertmark, Linda McDonald (Tom), John Hundertmark (Jamie) and the late Mike Alberts (Nickie); Dear sister of the late Tony, Patsy, Margaret, Louise, Rose, Christine, Violet and Patty; Kay is also survived by her grandchildren Mike, Wanda, Vicky, Chucky, Lisa, Joey, Chrisy, Joe, Steve, Michael, Stephanie, Patrick, Chris, Rose, April and Tommy and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Kay was a 50 year member of St. Jerome's Church in Baltimore. She was a gentle and loving person, who loved to bake cookies, especially at Christmas. She enjoyed making homemade pasta, meatballs and sauce. She loved being around family and friends, especially going to western Pennsylvania to visit her sisters. Kay was a beautiful lady whose faith in God helped her through her life. Her beautiful personality will be carried on through her children.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc. 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, MD 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 100) on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm. A Livestream Celebration of Life Service will be held at Kaufman Funeral Home on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 1pm. Please feel free to join the livestreamed service through the Gary L.
