On November 2, 2014 George Archie Moore of Washington, DC died at the age of 98 at the Armed Forces Retirement Home. Mr. Moore was the beloved husband of Eleanor Moore (née Gibson); devoted father of Ronald G. Moore and his wife Carol, Maureen G. Bell and her husband Rusty and Douglas M. Moore and his wife Karen; dear brother of the late Ralph, Howard, Mabel, Paul, Bob, Dick, Helen, Warren and Willis; cherished grandfather of Ron, Jr., Kim, Jason, Tara, Greg and Bryan; Also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Moore served in the Army in WWII and was a proud veteran for the rest of his life and retired as a printer for the Washington Post.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc. 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, Maryland 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 100) on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 10am-12pm the funeral hour. A Life Celebration Service will be held in the Kaufman Vermillion Chapel at 12:00pm. Interment Maryland National Cemetery.
