

Gordon “Wings” Lawrence Reich, Sr., age 87, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher and Lillian Reich, and his brother, Christopher “Butch” Reich.
He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend of 64 years, Katherine “Kay” Ann Reich (Rutledge); his loving children, Katherine Barrett (Dave), Gordon Reich Jr., David Reich (Laura), Robin Knabe (James), and Scott Reich; his cherished grandchildren, Amber Knabe, Amanda Barrett, Kevin Knabe (Amber), Courtney Reich, Timmy Reich, and Alan Diaz; his beloved great-grandchildren, Carly, Kevin Jr., Alex, and Kara; and his treasured great-great-grandson, Cooper James.
Born in Maryland, Gordon spent many years living in Elkridge, where he and Kay built a beautiful life together and raised their family. After retiring, the couple relocated to Ocean City, where they shared fifteen wonderful years side by side. Inseparable in every way, Gordon and Kay were truly best friends.
Gordon had a deep love for fishing and found peace and joy on the water. Above all else, he cherished time spent with his wife and the simple moments they shared together. The couple later returned to Elkridge, where Gordon continued to enjoy the life he loved—spending time with family and friends, listening to his extensive vinyl record collection, and watching his favorite DVDs.
Visitation will be held at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at MMP, Inc., located at 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, Maryland 21075, on February 17, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
A funeral service will take place at the same location on February 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
