Grace Cing San Hung

With profound sorrow, we share the passing of our cherished daughter, Grace Cing San Hung, who departed this life on July 26, 2025, at the tender age of 8. Grace was a bright and joyful second-grade student at Forest Ridge Elementary School in Howard County.

She faced her medical journey with remarkable courage, battling complications from lung inflammation that arose nine months after undergoing a bone marrow transplant for a rare bone disorder. Grace spent four months in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Johns Hopkins Hospital, surrounded by compassionate care.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the many individuals who supported us during this difficult time our family, friends, teachers, church community, and the dedicated hospital staff. Your prayers, encouragement, and comforting presence have been a source of strength. We are especially thankful to Dr. Cooke and his team, as well as the doctors and nurses in the PICU and Pediatric Oncology unit, for their attentive and heartfelt care for Grace.

Grace brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives. Her kindness, generosity, intelligence, and boundless curiosity touched everyone she met. Though her time with us was brief, the love she gave and the happiness she inspired will remain in our hearts forever.
