Jerry H Kvech, 83, passed away peacefully Monday morning January 5, 2026 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland holding hands with his wife Sandy.
Jerry was born February 25,1942 at the home of his parents Henry and Jeanette Kvech in Catonsville, Maryland. He was one of five sons – Frank, Raymond James, Ronald and Raymond Joseph.
Jerry was a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore, MD and earned a two-year degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore. He retired from the Federal Government at the Pentagon and after 28 years of service in the Army National Guard Reserve, retired as Chief Warrant Officer CW3. He enjoyed Boating, Fishing, Hunting, playing Cards and also enjoyed a happy hour or two with friends in Ocean City. He was a member of the Elks where he was recognized and honored as one of the local Hometown Heroes, October 21, 2023.
Jerry was predeceased by his son Thomas Charles Kvech. He is survived by his beloved wife Sandy whom he married June 29, 1998, as well as his brother Raymond Joseph Kvech of Westminster, MD, son Tim (Dianne) Kvech of Woodbine, MD, daughter Michelle Kvech (Dan Ives) of Ellicott City, MD, son Brent Kvech (Argie Alevrogiannis) of Cooksville, MD and grandchildren Sarah Kvech, Alex Kvech (Fiancé McKenzie Douglass), Dalila Ives, Jasmine Ives, Heidi Kvech, Henry Kvech, Marianna Alevrogiannis and Gigi Alevrogiannis.
A viewing and funeral service is planned for Monday, January 12th at 11 am at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd. Elkridge, MD. A celebratory lunch will immediately follow for family and friends.
Casual attire preferred.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Johns Hopkins Hospital Heart & Vascular Institute or a Charity of Choice.
