On Sunday, May 18, 2025, Lisa Ann Fly passed away surrounded by her family after a valiant battle with cancer.
Lisa was an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother. She poured her heart into raising her children, attending countless school events, sports games, and extracurricular activities. Her support never wavered, guiding her children through higher education and beyond. Later in life, she embraced the role of grandmother with the same devotion, caring for her grandchildren as if they were her own.
Lisa dedicated almost 45 years to working in government service, having begun her long career at just 17. Over 5 years ago, Lisa began pursuing her lifelong dream of moving to Tennessee, where she built her dream home from the ground up. Nestled near a peaceful lake and, more importantly to her, close to a horse farm, Lisa found herself surrounded by the natural beauty and quiet joy she had always envisioned for her retirement. She planned to devote her time to caring for horses, a passion that reflected her gentle spirit and love for animals.
Lisa is survived by her Devoted Husband of 35 years, Richard Fly; Loving Children, Jessica Fly, Amy Fly, Stephanie Rey (Bryan), and Eric Fly; Dear Brother, Danny Schell (Amy); Cherished Grandchildren, Quinn and Spencer Rey, and Olivia Fly. She is also survived by her furbabies, 4 cats and 1 dog. Lisa is predeceased by her parents, Valentine Sr. and Helen Schell, and her brother David Schell, Sr.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks for your continued care and support over the last year and during this time. Services will be held privately.
