Maurice Lee Johnson Jr.

Maurice Lee Johnson Jr. born July 31, 1952 in Montgomery County, Maryland to the late Maurice and Bessie Johnson.He departed his life at age 64 on December 30, 2016 at 5:24 am. Maurice received his education from the Howard County Public School System.

He graduated from Howard High School in 1970. Maurice received his spiritual guidance and direction as a child from St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, Elkridge, Maryland. As a member of the church he was a lead singer and had participated in talent shows rating first place in competition. Maurice was the third of five siblings. In life Maurice was known as "Ricey Cup or Reese". He had a love for music and singing. Family and friends were his love and ioy.

Maurice is survived by and lovingly remembered by his three sisters and one brother. Left to cherish his memory include Carolyn Charity, Betty Johnson, Mary Johnson and Spencer Johnson. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his Aunts (esp. Aunt Elizabeth ) nieces, nephews ,cousins and a host of friends.

In death he leaves a legacy of his love for music, generosity, humor, and his great love for his family, friends and people in general.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, 5976 Old Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, MD 21075 at 10:00 am. Inurnment Meadowridge Memorial Park will be held privately. www.garylkaufmanfuneralhome.com
