Mr. Luu was born on August 8,1954 in Saigon, Vietnam. He was a Vietnamese refugee who journeyed to America to escape communism. He first settled in Northern Virginia and later moved to Arbutus, Maryland where he spent most of his life. Mr. Luu worked as a wedding cake decorator and later became a jeweler. His passion in the jewelry industry grew so much that he was able to open his own business called L and W Jewelry, in Laurel, MD. He was an avid tennis and pickleball player. He loved spending time at the beach and eating out with friends and family.
Qui Luu is survived by his loving wife Ut Luu; son, Vi Luu; daughter, Whitney Luu; daughter-in-law, Sally Luu; son-in-law, Kyle Nguyen; and grandchildren; Vincent and Jaxson Luu.
His funeral services will be held at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home on May 18, 2021 with visitation hours between 4:00pm-8:00pm. Burial service will be held the following day on May 19, 2021 at 10:45am.
