

Roy “Pickens” Emanuel Peart was born on March 22, 1950, In St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. He passed away on November 25, 2021, in Baltimore, Maryland. His loving family surrounded him as he started his journey to the lord. He was the fifth out of ten children born to Florence and Jabez Peart. Roy attended and graduated from Park Mountain Primary School In St. Elizabeth Jamaica.
Roy met and married his soulmate Clover Peart in 1976 and started their life and family together. He migrated to the United States in 1994 and worked for Howard Community College for 18 years where he was loved and appreciated by both students and co-workers.
Roy was an amazing singer. His songs and graceful voice would bring smiles to many people's faces. His love for music and dancing was great, but his love for God was even greater. Roy was a strong and devoted believer in God. He encouraged his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews to build a relationship with God. Roy is a true definition of a shepherd of God. Roy always knew how to laugh. He would tell jokes that would make you smile and laugh for days.
He proceeded in death by his parents Florence and Jabez Peart, and his siblings Headley Peart and Hermin Peart.
He is survived by his wife Clover Peart, his seven children Lashley Peart, Josette Peart, Kerecha Peart, Althea Hanson, Nicholas Peart, Sandra Brown, and Latoya Peart. He's also survived by his daughter-in-law Gartay Peart, and son-in-laws Anthony Brown, and Omar Hanson. His brothers Shaven Peart, Egbert Peart, Peter Peart, and sisters Merries Peart, Blossom Peart, Vernice Peart, and Dulcie Peart.
His grandchildren Neila, Lainey, Marlon, Javiar, Jamelia, Lasheka, Nardia, Shavanese, Kemar, Javardo, Jamardo, Radeisha, Andre, Curtis, Kevin, Shanea, Lamar, Demar, Christopher, Kean, Arthur, Kemar, Kameron, Nicholas Jr, Nigel, Christian, Cheyanne, King, Bella, Alex, Nathan, Meloni, and Jauhgreen. Also survived by his eight great-grandchildren and a host of many friends and relatives.
