Ruth Eva Maxine Chambers, age 68, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024. She was born on January 24, 1956 in Maryland; Daughter of Ruth M. Masters and Raymond Leary; Beloved wife of the late Robert S. Chambers Sr.; Loving mother of Melissa M. Tester and the late Robert S. Chambers Jr., and Joseph M. Chambers; Mother-in-law of Michael Tester; Cherished grandmother of Brooke and Morgan Tester, and the late Catlin C.M. Tester.
Ruth was a devoted caregiver and cherished homemaker, whose warm presence touched the lives of many. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often seen engrossed in her favorite fantasy TV shows and delighting in the excitement of game shows.
Beyond her passion for television, she had a unique fondness for collecting bells, stuffed animals, and collectible spoons, each item a cherished piece of her vibrant personality. Her home was a reflection of her love for these treasures, each one holding a special memory or story.
In her role as a caregiver, she extended her nurturing nature beyond her family, offering comfort and support to those in need. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her legacy of compassion will forever be remembered.
Though she may have passed from this world, the memories of her laughter, her kindness, and her love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
A Visitation for Ruth will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at MMP, Inc., 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
