It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sandra Mathers Brown on January 8, 2026, in Severna Park, Maryland. Sandra, originally from Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, Wellsboro High School class of 1956, married her husband, Bill in June of 1958 where he was stationed in the US Army at Scholfield Barrack, in Oahu, Hawaii. Sandra was preceded in death by her devoted husband, William (Bill) Wiley Brown, who passed away on April 17, 2018. Their loving partnership was a source of strength and joy, and Sandra carried his memory with her always.
Sandra is survived by her two sons, two daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren. Thomas William Brown, his wife, Carole, of Oriental, North Carolina and their three children, Alexander and his wife Mia, Christina, and Michelle, and Timothy Scott Brown, his wife, Lisa, of Severn, Maryland and their children, Collin and Cameron.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and service. Sandra will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she inspired.
Sandra will be buried with her husband, Bill, in Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.
