My name is Pam Riesner,maiden name Mansfield. My mom, Lee and my Dad, Bill were both good friends of Will. We lived very close. My biggest thrill was going to my open bedroom window in the summer and listen to Will and mechanic friends rev up the engine on that great number 44 race car. Dad went down on Friday nights to help out. Saturday night was "Dorsey" race night and Dad and I would go every Saturday night and cheer Will on. Will was one of the most kindest,  sincere and fun loving person I ever met. Even through some serious medical issues , Will was always upbeat. I moved to Carroll County and lost contact. Just now finding out about Will's passing. I am glad he lived a long life with wonderful family. May you rest in peace Will and look for my son Jason. He is up there in heaven with you. Wishing strength and comfort to all family members .

My fondest memory of Mr. Will Dilks What is his big beautiful smile. Through some mutual friend I was able to go to Will’s home on many occasions.Even those they were working on the car he was always very kind to me. I was also able to meet his family. Joyce and Connie you have my deepest sympathy’s and please know that your dad is in a much better place than any of us are . One great memory that I have is one Saturday night we all got to the track after a week of heavy rain and the traffic was so wet they were going to call the races because they did not think it was safe. Will told them hold on I’ll be right back and jumped in his pick up truck and went to AG parrot where he worked for many many years and got a greater and came back to Dorsey and scraped all the top layers of mud Off of the track making it safe for everyone to race that night. Will  what is bound and determined everyone was going to be able to race that night. And oh what a night it was. Without him there would not have been a race at Dorsey that Saturday night. What another occasion several of us were following each other home from Dorsey to Catonsville we got off atthe 195 exit  Off of I -95  and were shocked to find a figure a car had flipped over the bridge from I 95 down to 195. At that time it was not the major hub into BWI that it is now. Someone called well and told him what had happened. He said he would be there in about half an hour. He went home and unloaded his race car  and came back with the boom truck and flipped the figure 8 car back over and helped the people tow their car back to their garage. He would not except money for gas he would not except anything he just wanted to make sure they got home msafely. That’s the kind of man Will Dilks is. Behind that blue fire suit And that beautiful smile was a heart of gold. God bless you Will.I hope you and Claude are together watching racing and talking to Dale Earnhardt and Neil bonnet and Everyone else. God bless you all. Amen.

I have so many memories of "Mr Will" as I called him, but he was more like a 2nd dad all thru my teenage years.  I remembered going to the races every Friday, Saturday and some Sundays, we had such a great time.  I also remember when he would get mad at us for making such a mess of your room or the basement, and as he was giving us a lecture about it, or yelling a little his arms would be steady moving and he would be cleaning up the mess the whole time, by the time he was done with the lecture the room was clean, lol, we would just laugh to ourselves. I stayed many many nights and was always treated like one of Will and Betty's kids, some people at Dorsey thought he had 3 kids. I will say this I never saw someone eat so much spiced ham, I can't even look at it anymore lol. Rest in peace Will, you are up there with a lot of good people, you will be missed by so many people, love you and my prayers and hugs to Joycey and Connie "Bean" , love you both, all the world.

one of the finest people that I ever met. a great customer of mine but even more a great friend. the first race car that ever lettered for will, we became friends. he told me that day that if I ever got in trouble that he wanted to be the first one called. low and behold about 6 years after that while lettering a tanker for a. g. parrot I told him of a financial problem I had and he went right home and got me $5000 cash. not many would have done that.  thanks for business.. thanks for the vision to make my business better..but most of all. . thanks for the friendship

i have so many memories of your dad - he was always ready to help even if i had not asked  , always kind and gentle , always had a smile for me , one of the true good men of this world - with a heart of gold - i will miss him - 
i am grateful  and thankful to have known him and to have him as a friend and neighbor 

going to watch him race in the " old timers " race was great - he really enjoyed it -a smile from ear to ear - 

i trust he is smiling from ear to ear again - happy - at peace - no pain and with so many of his friends and family who were probably cheering and happy to great him when it was time for him to leave us. 

please know that Brian and I , Kevin, and Tiffany all  send our deepest condolences - and that we are here if you need .

I remember will used to point his finger and yell at me when I did something wrong. But I always knew he was only trying to help me out and that would also go for Claude as well. The Dilks boys were good people and heaven just got another great man.
