Yong Sik Yi passed away on February 1, 2026, at the age of 87. He was born on October 9, 1938, in South Korea. Beloved husband of 63 years to Chong Cha Yi; Loving Father of Jay Chang Lee (Eunmelee), Chae Hyon Lee (Kimberley), and Suk Hyang Um (George Ichtiarow). Cherished grandfather of Aaron, Timothy, Megan, Ryan, and Logan.
Yong Yi immigrated to the United States from Korea in the late 1970s in search of opportunity for his family. Through years of hard work as a store owner and truck driver, he dedicated his life to providing stability and opportunity for his children.
A devoted father and tireless provider, Yong Yi lived by example, showing perseverance, humility, and sacrifice. His legacy lives on through his children and the opportunities his life’s work made possible.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
