Good Lord I miss you! That picture is so natural. It brings you right back.
Well as most of us find life throws you curve balls when you least expect it.
And while I knew he'd probably go first - he was eight years older than me. I ABSOLUTELY never understood what that actually meant!
I did ALL the things they tell you but no one can prepare you to lose someone you truly love.
In fact I still haven't figured it out. I don't think anyone has.
We live and live people for reasons nobody truly understands. And we simply count yourself lucky .Brian was the most incredible person I've known as was his mother - Anita.
Admittedly I didn't always get along with Anita. We were two strong women totally in love with the same man. Of course there will be issues.
But I grew to truly love her in a way I've loved few people and I thank God I really got to know her.
She was so.ply trying to cling to her life. The only one she ever knew.
She was never what I call a soft person. She was in control. But just as I miss my husband every minute of every day I also miss her. And yes Kelli.
So Paul I hope you and Brian are watching over me as much as possible! Just know I loved you very .much!!

I worked shoulder to shoulder with Brian at the Harborage Marina for over ten years.   Smart, tough minded, and fair, he was a tremendous boss and a dedicated mentor.   He was an even better friend.   Brian was highly respected by his colleagues in the marine industry,  and beloved by our staff, and our boaters.   Fair winds and following seas, Mr. Sweeney.   We will miss you dearly.  

I met Brian in 1997 when I purchased his boat and we friends ever since.  He was always generous with his time.   He was the most talented person I ever met - from auto mechanics to carpenter, electrical and plumbing.  Always there when you called and willing to help.  Of all of the titles Brian held the one I will remember most was Friend!  My thoughts and prayers go out to Becky and Trent.  The world will truly miss him.
