Born April 25, 1947, Tampa, Florida. Mr. King was preceded in death by sister, Sharon Ann King; brother, Richard Ronald King; father, Edward Vernis (Dick) King and his mother, Margie Elizabeth King.
Dennis King is survived by brother, Tommy James (Minnie) King of Bradenton; former wife, Donna Woodham (Bones) King; son, Raymond Douglas King;, daughter, Sharon Anne (Jaime) Cadet; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
Dennis was retired from Southern Grocery Food Service, Publix and Winn-Dixie. He loved food. Mr. King served in the Florida Army National Guard for 9 years (1965-1974) as Master Sergeant. He also served in the Manatee County sheriff's Mounted Posse and was a member of the Venice Bible Church.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 8 2013, at 5 p.m. at Groover Funeral Home Chapel at Mansion Memorial Park, 1400 36th Avenue East, Ellenton, Florida 34222 with funeral services following at 6:00 p.m.
