A devoted member of the Bahá’í Faith, Enayat spent nearly 60 years as a pioneer in Southern Africa, including Mozambique and Malawi. In 1961, accompanied by his wife, Iran, he settled in Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia), where he raised four children, Vahid, Vida, Violette, and Vajdon. In Zimbabwe, he served the Bahá’í Faith in a variety of capacities, including as a member of the National Spiritual Assembly, an Intercontinental Board Member, and the country’s only registered Bahá’í Marriage Officer. In 2012, Enayat and Iran moved to Sarasota, close to their eldest son and his family. In Florida, Enayat continued his devoted Bahá’í work, serving on the Local Spiritual Assembly and finding a place in the hearts of the Sarasota Bahá’í community. Enayat is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, three children, four grandchildren, and a large and loving extended family.
