She was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 4, 1935. She is survived by her companion, Gary Gaarder, of Ellenton, FL; sister Phyllis Gregory, of Youngtown, AZ; two daughters, Cheryl Erickson of Tempe, AZ and Carolyn (Eddie) Mescher of Mansfield, TX; granddaughter Sharon Erickson, grandson Billy (Whitney) Erickson, and great grandson Miles Erickson, all of Phoenix, AZ. Along with several other relatives and friends.
Janice loved watching college sports and was a huge fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. She was very active in her community and especially enjoyed spending coffee hours with her friends at Terra Siesta Mobile Home Park. She will be buried next to her husband, William Bennett, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
