

Born in Ottawa, Canada, August 31, 1943 to Milton and Jessie (Sullivan) Long, she and her family moved to Sussex County, NJ where they owned The Sussex County Airport Diner and Glenbrook Inn. At the age of 10, she became an American citizen and later married her late husband, Carl, in 1963. Together, they owned Big Star Drive-In in Stroudsburg, PA, the Corner Deli in Ocean City, NJ, and Taters Restaurant in Ellenton, FL. In 1987, they moved from Ocean City, NJ to Ellenton, FL.
Through the years she enjoyed coaching gymnastics and cheerleading with East Stroudsburg Youth Association as well as being a gymnastic judge. She loved her family dearly and was always on the sidelines cheering them on and made those around her feel like family. She was always a phone call away for all who loved her. She attended Happy Gospel Church in Manatee County, FL. After retiring, she enjoyed going to Disney World, sipping a Starbucks drink and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving companion of twelve years, Robert Ball; son, Carl Merle (Ana) Eschenbach Jr. of California; daughter, Jessie Lynne (John) Seneca of Pennsylvania; brother, Bill (Linda) Long of North Carolina; stepbrother, Richard (Jeanann) Ward; four granddaughters: Lauren (Nate) Walter, Sarah (Jon) Weimer, Emma and Mackenzie Eschenbach and grandson, Jack Eschenbach, along with four great grandchildren: Luke, Connor, Logan, and Parker. Also special brother-in-law, John Remyias and niece, Roxane (Greg) Kylish, nephews: Billy (Susan) Long, Carter, Kevin, Chris, and Stephen Ward and Merle and Keith Stires. And, her best furry friend, Lilly.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Carl Merle Eschenbach Sr; parents, Milton and Jessie Long and step father, Irv Ward; sister, Diana Remyias; stepbrother, Robert Ward and nephews, Russel Ward and Milton Long.
The family will have a private celebration of life with family members present.
