July 24, 1941 – March 18, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lamar E. Willis, who left us peacefully on March 18, 2026. Born on July 24, 1941, Lamar lived a life defined by quiet strength, unwavering kindness, and a gentle spirit that touched everyone he met.
Lamar was a man of remarkable character—a "gentle soul" in the truest sense of the word. He moved through the world with a calm grace and a heart always open to those around him. Whether through a kind word, a supportive presence, or a simple smile, he had a way of making people feel seen and valued.
He is survived by his devoted sister, Rebecca Jeffries, who shared a lifetime of memories with him. Lamar also leaves behind a large and loving family of nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as a wide circle of dear friends who became family over the years. To those who knew him best, he was a cornerstone of warmth and reliability.
Though he has passed from our sight, the legacy of his kindness will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He was loved dearly, and he will be missed beyond measure.
"The world is a little quieter today, but it is much brighter for having had him in it."
