L. Erna Hewitt, 63, of Palmetto passed away on December 16th, 2015. She was born to the late Lloyd and Barbara McAllister on June 7th, 1952 in Port Huron, Michigan. Erna was a beloved wife of 40 years and a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Herbert T. Hewitt, son Herbert M. Hewitt, and daughter Barbara S. Hewitt, as well as a grandson Herbert R. Hewitt. Additionally, she is survived by a sister Linda McDonough of Bonita Springs, and a brother Carl McAllister of Palmetto. A visitation and memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 29th, 2015 at Groover Funeral Home at Mansion Memorial, 1400 36th Avenue East, Ellenton. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm with a memorial service immediately following at 1:00 pm.
