Mary “Jo” Coleman was born on April 6, 1936 in Nyack, New York to Antonio and Mary Vitolo. On October 6, 1957 she married Roy Coleman. Jo was well known for many years in Manatee County as Mr. Cheesecake; a bakery she owned specializing in New York cheesecakes. Jo passed away on Christmas morning, 2021 at the age of 85. Jo was predeceased by her husband, Roy Coleman. She is survived by four daughters, Kathleen Dickinson (Kevin), Robin Coy (Jimmy), Kim Mercer, Corinna Maus, a son, Roy Coleman (Mae Rose), her grand- and great-grandchildren, a sister, Francis O’Keefe, and a brother, Carmine Vitolo.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2021 at 10:00 am. St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3100 26th West, Bradenton, FL 34205
