April 29, 1944 - January 21, 2021
Louis was born in Gainesville, FL to Dr. and Mrs. Victor Vito Ragonetti. He grew up in Plymouth, MA where he attended Sacred Heart School. He joined the U.S. Navy and attended medical school at Marquette University, eventually becoming a psychiatrist with an emphasis in child psychiatry. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Deborah; by his children Jodi, Tanya, Katherine, Andrew, Jennifer and Julie; by his sons and daughter in law, Pete, Sam, Micheal, and Claudia; by his grandchildren Nathan, Jack, Isabelle, Mia, Celeste and Alessia; by his siblings, Diane, Linda, Christine, Philip and their spouses; and by all his extended family, friends and colleagues.
Louis was a generous, patient, kind, and loving man who always put the needs and happiness of his family and others before his own. He was a devoted husband treating his wife with love, patience and respect. He was an amazing father to his 4 children and their spouses; He was a fantastic, caring grandfather to 6 grandchildren; a beloved brother to his 4 siblings and their spouses; a loving cousin and uncle; and a dear friend and colleague to many. He was a father to the fatherless, a friend to the outcast, and a giver to those in need— a true follower of Christ who lived his life selflessly.
Louis passed peacefully near his home in San Diego, California on January 21st, 2021 and will be laid to rest at Miramar National Cemetery. We are grateful that he was a part of our lives and that we had time to share our love with him. He will forever be remembered and greatly missed.
