August 31, 1944 – September 2, 2024. After a long illness Walter passed away peacefully in Carlsbad CA surrounded by his family. Born in Edison New Jersey to parents Walter and Elizabeth (nee Smith), he was the only son of four siblings. Husband of Jeanne. Father of Brandon (Leili) and Derrick (Elizabeth). Beloved Grandfather of Ava, Harrison, Olivia and Ellie.
Walter served in the United States Navy for four years with a specialty in Oceanographic Research. After he was released from Active Duty he moved to New Jersey as a Computer Operator at RCA and UNIVAC. In 1972 he went to work for the IRS where he spent 30 successful years as a Computer Programmer. He spent his retirement years living in Ft. Myers FL, Las Vegas NV, and traveling through South America & Europe.
Walter will be remembered for his good sense of humor and energy. He had a great love for golf, and classic cars, especially Corvettes. Toward the end, he never lost his ability to laugh and smile. His family would like to thank the professionals at La Marea Senior Living for their unwavering love, support and care they provided during his final years. He will be deeply missed.
