Carolyn Sue Burke

On January 16, 2023, at 10:30 pm, the world lost a devoted and loving mom, friend and grandmother. Carolyn Sue Burke fought lymphoma cancer for nearly a decade, but that never stopped her from giving the best hugs and sharing her infectious laughter. Her positive outlook, attitude and smiles will remain forever engraved in the memory of those who knew and loved her. Sue was a kind, sweet, precious, loving soul who was always willing to give herself to those in need. One can never question her passion for God and the years of ministry entrusted to her, nor her love and devotion for every person she has met. Sitting on the beach and watching the water was her favorite pastime, as well as hiking, cooking, having a hot cup of coffee and even riding roller coasters as long as she was with her family. Sue loved the Lord and His word with all of her heart, soul and mind. We have no doubt that she heard the words of our Heavenly Father say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant!", Sue is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Erven: sons Craig, Nathan, and wife Erika, Grandchildren Justin, Olivia and Dawson; and siblings Ron, Claudia, Debbie, and both their husbands, Fred and Chuck. She is predeceased by her parents, Claude and Mildred Upton, her sister, Illona Upton, and her brother Doug Upton. A visitation for Carolyn will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Fellowship Church of Englewood, 140 Rotonda Blvd W, Rotonda West, FL 33947. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 27, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, 140 Rotonda Blvd W, Rotonda West, FL 33947. A committal service will occur Friday, January 27, 2023 from 2:15 PM to 2:45 PM at Gulf Pines Memorial Park, 2401 Englewood Rd, Englewood, FL 34223.
