Iva Jean Thiel

THIEL, Iva Jean 81 of Dayton, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 9, 2016. Iva leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Linda Rae York, one son Steven Frank Thiel Sr. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren Aaron (Ginny) Behm, Andrea Behm, Abby (Marcus) McGhee, Jennifer, Krista Ochsenbein, Amy, Caitlin and 14 great-grandchildren. Iva was preceded in death by her parents John Henry and Melda Elizabeth (nee Lovely) Harris, one grandson Steven Frank Thiel Jr., two sisters Ruth Page and Lois Harris. She was retired from GM after 30 years of service, and enjoyed time with her family , especially her grand and great-grandchildren. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Thursday, April 14, 2016 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL 675 West Wenger Road starting at 10 am, followed by a Celebration of her life at 11 am with Pastor Dale Givens presiding. Burial will follow in Willowview Cemetery.
