

BLAKE, Robert Edward, 87 of Dayton, passed away peacefully at home, Wednesday, December 18, 2013 with his loving family at his side. Robert is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law Theresa M. Blake of Dayton, Deboria and Keith Harrison, Cynthia Blake all of Trotwood; two sons and daughters-in-law Edward and Karen Blake, Ronald and Barbara Ann Blake all of Trotwood. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Blake was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy (Talbott) Blake in 1962; a son Roger Blake in 2011, a daughter Gwendolyn Blake in 2012, one granddaughter Dorothy, one grandson Edward Jr.; his parents Robert E. and Mattie (Wright) Blake; three brothers and one sister-in-law Walter and Ardella Blake, Clarence and Frederick Blake; one sister Elizabeth Blake. Robert retired from the Dayton Walter Co. after 25 years of service, he had worked at Master Electric for 20+ years, did lawncare for many years, and was a member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed landscaping and repairing lawn mowers. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends at the ZION HILL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1900 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45417 on Monday, December 23, 2013 starting at 10:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Robert’s Life at 11:00 am with Reverend Dr. Junior Greenlee presiding.
