Adrianna was born Adrianna Valdivia in 1979 in Mission Hills, to parents Pilar Cuevas and Mario Valdivia. Her earliest memories are filled with a young 14 year old boy at the library, Santiago Resendiz. She was approached by another young boy in the library, but without hesitation pointed at Santiago. Adrianna always knew what she wanted and was determined to get it. That day was no exception. They married in 1999 giggling their way through the ceremony. Her husband said that's just who Adrianna was- smiling and lighting up every room she walked in.
In 1995 she had her first child, Daisy. This propelled Adrianna and Santiago into a life of hard work and dedication. She persisted and finished high school while pregnant with her first son, Christopher. In her younger years she persevered with her husband to provide a loving home and life to her children. Her oldest children remember waking up before the sun rose to her singing, “Good Morning, Good Morning! It’s time to rise and shine! Good Morning, Good Morning to you!”
In her early 20’s she and her husband bought a beautiful house. And not too long after they were blessed with their last child, Daniel. She lived out her 20’s finding her footing in the suburbs, making new friends and loving her children. Through this time she laughed and sang her way into lifelong friends in her new home, Temecula.
In her later years, Adrianna found a passion for cosmetology and received a certification as a professional make up artist. She used this as a resource for her friends and family. Anytime needed she was there with her music, makeup brushes, and love. She was doing what she enjoyed- make up and laughing with others.
When Adrianna was not with her family or petting her favorite child, Jack, she was in her own paradise, Hawaii. The Resendiz Family loved to spend their days on the shores of Maui enjoying the treasures of life- nature and family.
Adrianna passed alongside her family at La Jolla Scripps Green Memorial Hospital next to her favorite place: the ocean. She will live on through us all. We will hear her in the songs she sang with us, we will see her in the family she so loved and we will hear her laugh amongst her friends. She lived to the fullest, loved without judgement and maintained friendships from Hawaii to Escondido. Adrianna Resendiz had a beautiful life and we will all carry on her memory.
