For our family and friends in the Philippines:
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Labuguen family, the Jimenez family, the apostles of Our Lady of Peace Parish, the Iglesia Filipina Independiente congregations led by Edward Labuguen, the teachers of La Paz Integrated School, the Bureau of Fire Protection colleagues, Baquiran Funeral Services, and all our friends and relatives who joined us in paying our last respects to our beloved Mamang, Erlinda. We express our heartfelt appreciation to Father Rod Ardaniel of Our Lady of Peace Parish for officiating the requiem mass and to the Young Blood Marching Band and The Labuguen Fam Band for providing music. Your generosity, kindness, and support have been a source of inspiration and strength for us. We pray that God will shower you with more blessings, and if we cannot reciprocate someday, please know that we will never forget your compassion.
For our family and friends in the United States:

We are immensely grateful for your presence during this difficult time, and your support and kindness have meant the world to us. We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to Rev. Gabriel Afeti of the Church of the Resurrection for officiating the prayer service and Mark Jacob for providing music. Your kindness and support have been a source of inspiration and strength for us. We pray that God will shower you with more blessings, and if we cannot reciprocate someday, please know that we will never forget your generosity.
Biography:
Erlinda, affectionately known as Linda by many, passed away on October 2, 2023. She was born on June 4, 1944, in La Paz, Abra, Philippines, to Severino Jimenez and Francesca Jimenez. Linda was the youngest of two children, and her elder brother, Amado Jimenez, preceded her in death more than 15 years ago.
Linda was an accomplished educator who completed her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of the East Philippines and her Master's degree from the University of Northern Philippines. She dedicated nearly 30 years to the Department of Education, where she taught Filipino and Home Economics at Canan Elementary School and later at La Paz Central Elementary, where she retired.
On April 27, 1974, Linda married Edmundo Labuguen, an elementary school teacher. Both worked tirelessly to provide their five children with higher education. Their children Judelyn BSN, Jacqueline BSN, Jennifer BSPT, Edraline BSW, and Carolyn BSE-Commerce completed their studies. Linda's grandson, Reignmarc Vincent, finished his Bachelor of Science in Mass Media, greatly blessing her.
Linda was passionate about nature and loved gardening in the Philippines and the United States. She was an avid dog lover and kept more than a dozen furry friends in her lifetime. She also had an affinity for birds and fish. Linda's hobbies included reading newspapers, magazines, and the bible. She was committed to attending the local Catholic Church masses, participating in them every Sunday, especially during the Lenten Season and Misa de Gallo. Linda enjoyed traveling the world, including notable trips across the Philippine Sea in Hong Kong, China, and the vast Pacific Ocean in North America.
Linda's husband, daughter, grandson, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends survive her and will cherish her memories. We will never forget her dedication to education and love for nature. May she rest in peace.
