
Robert Lee (Bob) Hadley went to his maker in an untimely death on February 4, 2011. He was born in Eureka on April 18, 1950 to Leland and Christine Hadley. He was the great-grandson of AA Hadley, the first settler in the Mattole Valley. Robert graduated from Eureka Senior High School and went on to receive an AA degree in Police Science from College of the Redwoods. He proudly served his country in the National Guard for 6 years. He was an avid history buff and never stopped researching the world around him. He had a tree service business and took pride in his work. Robert (Bob) played bass guitar in numerous bands throughout the years. He will be sorely missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his mother Christine Hadley; sisters Bonnie Hadley, Patty (Jerry) Chapman, and Sue (Bill) Poe; nieces Stephanie and Kate Luerken, Christina Chapman, Tita and Ana Poe; nephews Peter (Sarah) Chapman and Jason Chapman; great-nephews Cody and Spencer Chapman. He was preceded in death by his brother Leslie Hadley and father Leland Hadley. Robert will be put to rest in a private service in the family cemetery. A memorial service will be held on April 18th at the Ocean View Cemetery at 2:00 PM. For more information call 442-5301. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of Humboldt.
